Not sure if you're being facetious or not, but here in Connecticut there's a lawmaker proposing bans on all firearms that can have a capacity of more than one round. Not saying that's going to pass, but those are the types of people that get paid to make policies in this state...
Did you go to or watch any of the testimony yesterday? There was a legislator there that was reading and posting on facebook the entire time. Wasnt even payign attention to the testimony of the people. In fact, she was making fun of some of them on her page WHILE THE HEARING WAS GOING ON. So blatantly close minded anti gun, it isnt even funny.

I guess it's hard for you to tell the difference between a rare, collectible piece of working art/machinery that has aged well for being around 48+ years old and a mass produced piece of aluminum where there may be around 2.5 (maybe 3.2)million (source: http://www.slate.com/blogs/crime/...erica.html) replicas doing the same thing.

Feel free to keep paying this much, or more, for lowers. I support your right to do so. But shame on everyone for not preparing for something like this much sooner than now. I won't pay inflated prices and I look forward to a future where there is an AR-Bubble to burst because everyone who panicked wants to unload their ARs so I can pick them up for next to nothing because their wife "wants to get rid of it."
AGREE === It will be a buyers market will all the "bills" fail to pass. I'll just have to filter out the 1st time DIY built and knock offs.

The hearings are for show. Their minds are already made up as to what they want to propose. Could have been 99% of the people against new legislation and they would still say people are demanding change. I watched video of one of the fathers that talked for 17 minutes and apparently was "heckled" even though he kept trying to ask the attendees a question, trying to make a point of not receiving an answer, and the video of Henson Ong's testimony, where they tried to cut him off right at 3 minutes. I'll be watching some more in the next few days.

What the crap nuggets. I placed my order yesterday at 8:56 am when it was in stock, and now the lower is showing as back ordered. Did anyone actually get theirs shipped?

Good luck getting any. I ordered 2 seconds after the deal posted. I have an order confirmation saying "IN STOCK", yet today I get an email saying, "Backordered".

FFL has to be faxed each time btw, with your order number as a reference.

I'd bet some coin that employees are buying and reselling these things by the bucket load.

Here I thought Brownell's was being a stand up company. I called after getting the "in stock" order confirmation to confirm it was a real deal. The CSR told me they still had 93 in stock at that point.

Seems to be questionable business practice at best. Of course their customer service number is busy permanently now.

Don't judge a lower for the name/rollmark. Few, if any, manufacturer their own and usually other company makes it for them.

Sometimes that's true. A lot folks here picked up Delaware Machinery AR-15s... they were way out of spec and the company filed bankruptcy. No refunds. Whoops!

I've been in contact with Cathy (regarding the FFL, not the stock status). They have my FFL of choice on file, and she said I didn't need anything faxed and they will associated that FFL with my account.

And it generated two order numbers for the one order:
08509XX2.01
1/30/2013
$0.00
ITEMS NOT IN STOCK AT THIS TIME
Not available

08509XX2.00
1/30/2013
$0.00
ORDER PROCESSED - NO ITEMS SHIPPED
Not available

And then when I click on the order info for the number ending in .00 it says
UPS - GROUND
ORDER PROCESSED - NO ITEMS SHIPPED
Ship Date: 1/30/2013

Not sure why it gave a ship date?

Did they get them from a reputable retailer?

Yes, unfortunately, Delaware Machinery dumped their lowers to many reputable dealers throughout the country and the dealers are not liable for products sold by them and I would not expect them to foot the bill or to make good on purchases. Buyer beware... sometimes low prices come at higher costs!

But what you said earlier is true, rollmarks mean less unless you're concerned about resale. Milspec should be milspec no matter what the brand.
