I agree about the PM thingy. MS can always scan this thread and void the posted keys just to f* with people. Having said that, I have a key that I'm not using. so pm me.

Yeah - PM is the way to go with this, I think. But it is a free key, and you do need to have Win8 Pro anyway. If their distribution system for the keys was sensible (i.e. "instant" in this electronic age) then we wouldn't need to do this. We're actually helping mitigate the impact of what's been a pretty poor effort on MS's part. If they do give folks grief on this then I think some negative PR is in order.

FYI...

When you activate Win8PRO and add in MCE it GENERATES an entirely new product key for Win8ProMCE this key is made up of part of the original key and part of the MCE key you got emailed.

Make note of this new key and later you can use it to install Windows8Pro w/ Media Center directly!

Use Jellybean key finder.... after you do the MCE upgrade.

Ive now entered like 10 of them and they don't work....so i guess its because i only have windows 8?

It's a $10 add-on you guys. I don't think it'll be the end of the world if you guys can't add it for free by the 31st.

But anyway already got mine added on my lappy and desktop. I like Windows 8 after intitally hating it. I just installed Start8/ClassicSheell and I almost never have to deal with Metro. Yay!

EDIT: The free music is pretty freaking awesome in Metro. It's the only app I use as part of Metro. I love it.
