Would come out to about $85 shipped. I already have 2x 2gb spare ddr3 ram so would just need a cheap case & psu to complete the build. Would love to have a cheap itx setup but I dont need it.

Have been wanting to get a raspeberry pi but at the price of this it would run circles around the pi.

If you were already set on Pi, then I'm going to assume that Pi was had at least enough resources to accomplish the tasks you were going to give it within an acceptable amount of time. Is the effort of building, and the cost and space of, a new computer really worth being able to do more than one of that task in parallel, faster?

If, hypothetically, you were going to run XBMC on Pi, this processor wouldn't really buy you anything.
On the other hand, if you were going to do some kind of data processing, analytics, simulations, embedded programming, or any other scientific activity, then building a new computer for it makes no senses. I'm assuming you already have at least a desktop, if not a laptop and tablet. If the Pi was acceptably powerful to run these types of tasks, then surely you could run them in the background on your other machine(s), even with a few extra processor cycles.

Considering this, I'm led to conclude that you probably only wanted the Pi for the novelty of it.

I just like to play with computer stuff. That doesnt mean I need to spend the money on it :p

Edit: I would like to build a hackintosh though as I am not familiar at all with macs and really should learn them.
