Also, anyone have any info on what's the maximum recording time with the included 2G card? Nowhere in the user or installation manuals does it have any info at all on the recording length. Since it's a DVR and not just a AV receiver, logic suggests they should state some type of recording capacity.

I have the same interest. I'm thinking of swapping the SD card in the DVR out with one of those wifi SD Card's [eye.fi]. Then the video or pics auto transfer from the DVR to a PC Folder that I can share across my home network. Then I'm thinking of finding a PC app to send email or text messages when a new file is dropped in the folder.
