I don't think this is a very good price. $150 gets you a BRAND NEW Kindle Fire, and I believe there are a few other better offerings for a tablet at $99 that at least have Honeycomb (Android 3.0) or better... if this is still stuck at Gingerbread, it kind of sucks.

Just my thoughts.

Reviews are so-so, but the price is definitely attractive. Hmm. I was looking at this earlier too. I already have a Nexus 7 but wouldn't mind a cheap second tablet.

It can probably be rooted and upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich via XDA-developers.com and the cameras plus GPS make it very tempting. But my kids are more into gaming. They both have stock, refurbished Nook tablets (with warranty) which go on sale for about $100 (B&N ebay store, Bensoutlet, 1saleaday.com, and other places--Frys had them for 79.99 plus shipping.) You can download the latest JellyBean 4.2 from iamafanof.wordpress.com, run it off of a microSD card and be able to play 10-point multitouch games on a faster OMAP4 dual-core processor instead of the IdeaPad's OMAP3 single-core.

this would be great for a kid. If they are really good you can update it to ICS

I got 2 of them from Lenovo outlet in October of last year for $70 shipped each, 10 and 12 year old have being using them and they have not complained. I tried ICS on one from an upgrade for another similar Lenovo A1 that I found in another forum (upgrade files can be downloaded from Lenovo website), I noticed that is was bit sluggish with ICS so I put Gingerbread back.

First off, this is a low end tablet. Don't even bother with the comparisons to ipad, asus, etc.
