Are they running special ads on Saturday? The new weekly ones usually start on Sunday and anywhere online wouldn't have the TV to you by the game.

As someone who jumped on the 48in model, I would say not to buy this expecting perfection. I had to return the first set due to excessive clouding (uneven backlighting causing dark patches), and the replacement set isn't entirely free from this defect either. It's not noticeable at all most of the time, but any shots with large patches of one non-dark color, it jumps out at you like a floater on your eye or a small smudge on your glasses.

Also, understand what you're getting with "240hz". This does not apply any post-processing to the video or fabricate frames like other 120-240hz TVs, so no "soap opera effect". Really, the 240hz part is pretty useless.

For the price I got mine ($350), it has been a great TV. However, I would have a harder time accepting the common defects if I paid nearly twice as much. If you aren't a videophile or are otherwise not going to be using this TV for something where you'll mind video quality flaws, I'd say it's a good deal.

Also be wary with 4myrebate. I went through them and ultimately got my rebate accepted, but I had to petition TigerDirect to intercede on my part as 4myrebate completely denied it when I sent it in for completely bullshit reasons.

I saw the 48" once next to another TV. Both had the credits of some movie coming down the screen, and it looks terrible on the TCL, not smooth at all. I saw a few moments of actual footage and I don't see how they can call it a 240hz TV.
