Not sure, could be a great deal if the quality is there. But without more I would get the Costco one as well

Horrible reviews on Amazon [amazon.com].

I have used different canopies, and even though price does make a difference in terms of quality, they all blow away if they aren't secured properly. For the price and because it has walls available, you can't beat it. The main thing is you want to make sure you secure it properly.. Don't put too much weight on the supports or they all bend (some easier than others). We use to put the anchors in the ground as well as adding some sort of hanging weights... If you can, try to get the curved anchors, they work a whole lot better- you can get them at some camping places. Cement blocks work great for hanging.


Added note... I have put together hundreds of canopies and all of them can be difficult at times... It takes time and practice .... After a while you know how to set them up and what works and what doesn't .... And ways to get around problems...

To the person that posted reviews on Amazon, thanks, AVG 3 out of 5 Stars makes me belive that this is an average product, but for this price in my mind (MY OPNION) with Free Shipping it makes it an excellent deal for those that are in need of something like this. Like most things in life I am sure there is a bit of truth in reviews as well as plenty of operator error. Oh well to those that want to take advantage enjoy.

Why are you so hurt about this? You aren't promoting your own website, are you?! Just get over it, you posted a good deal but the site may not be the best. Be THANKFUL that fellow SDers actually care and are helping you out.

Always thought about these and many other products that cost alot for what it is. I would think a decent quality one would be like what $40? Same goes for toilet paper and paper towels, freaking expensive paper.

do not get this for your outdoor wedding or backyard party, you will be laughed at for the rest of your life after it knocks out 30 people and fly away

My son's troop Scout leaders camp in a 10 X 20 with sidewalls during the one week boy scout camp every summer. But I think it's an Easy up with sides from Sams.

Overall, I think the OP has an OK deal. These tents are generally overpriced and mostly get beat up fast. You can probably find this price pretty easily if you shop around. Sides are a big difference and are probably the biggest appeal for me.
I'd likely prefer getting one of these even if it only lasts a year with constant use over getting a $650 heavy dugy one that only lasts 2-3 years.

This wouldn't last a day at Burningman. You need some serious protection from the dust storms, sun, wind and sometimes rain. Even with a high quality tent you need serious tie downs and anchors in the dry playa dirt.

Only if you plan to build this and take it out after couple of hours usage/family gathering, on a nice clear weather, no wind.

So I can't imagine .75" and 1" as a stable tent. Nope. You can search ShelterLogic here and see that this kinda tent comes up on SD often.
