Yes this happened to me. This is what I did

I would have never found the packing slip behind the postage label. But I still fear that my claim will be denied anyway. On one hand, the rebate form says that the fulfillment number must be legible on the packing slip. On the other hand, if I write it in, "No altered, substitute, invalid ... packing slips will be accepted."

The first option seems to be the best way to go, so long as they don't consider the printed email to be a "substitute." Maybe they are purposely screwing us? If they enforce it as such, they are essentially saying "Rebate is void if your submission contains any form of paper." Is there any recourse?
