Dammit I just bought the CX500 for 40 AR last night.

They look virtually identical so I wouldn't RMA the Antec. I've used many Antec and Corsair power supplies and they are both solid for the most part. It looks like that one you bought was made by Seasonic so it is probably a little better than the Corsair CX600 (which looks to have been made by Channel Well who also makes great power supplies, but imo not as good as Seasonic).

Still, they are about the same when all things are considered so just stick with what you got bud No reason to go through an unnecessary RMA!

The PSU that came with my case from years ago, is an Antec Basiq 500w and its held up just fine. (Q6600 OC 3.0 & 4 HD's & HD4850)

But I've been slowly piecing together a new machine lately, through slickdeals.

The only reason I considered swapping out for the Corsair is it seems that they pretty much dominate the market right now. And, this is going to sound stupid but their branding is pretty great. I love the nice big logo on the side of the PSU with the power rating.
