Awesome deal for an incredible camera! Pentax's seem to be rather underrated in the camera and DSLR community. With big names like Nikon and Canon floating around, Pentax seems to get pushed under the bus. Years ago, Pentax was the top dog, and they made the best lenses around!

Their old lenses can be purchased on eBay very cheap and can be used on these cameras easily (same lens mount). I currently own a Pentax K-x (much cheaper camera) and would LOVE to own a K5. If I didn't already have mine, I'd be purchasing this deal! (Anyone wanna buy my K-x?

Anyways, awesome camera, weather resistance is a huge plus, and great price!

We all seem to beating a dead horse here, it isn't whether the description is correct, it is what they Actually will send out. I would love to know as I have been looking at this camera package too!

The lens and body comes in two separate boxes, not really the standard kit per mfg part number. Also the non-WR lens does not come with a hood. Kind of misleading but it's a heck of a deal, returned mine because I didn't want to invest again on their high end lenses.

I called to confirm the lens with the eBay deal and was told it is definitely NOT the WR lens.

i went through this with them before in the past. They had corrected to listing at that time to state it was NOT WR and therefore I didn't buy. Ending up with a T3i instead. Tempting indeed if it was a WR lens.

Will my nikon OLD AI lenses work/meter on this body ?

This deal seems pretty good since the body-only deal previously was $699, right?
