Funny thing is that people were saying the same thing about the PS3 when it first launched. The PS3 first released was between $400-$600 depending on the HDD and if you wanted PS2 playback. The Xbox 360 came out at $400. The PS3 came with Blu-ray and Wifi. The Xbox needed you to buy a Wifi adaptor and a external HD-disc drive each was like $100-150 plus the fact that the HD-Drive became useless after the PS3 came out. So for people that bought the Xbox probably paid as much as $600-$650 to get the same setup as the PS3 and have to pay monthly for Xbox live which is mandatory to play online. Not to mention there has been so many Red Ring of Deaths yet took them 4 years to finally make a new console to lower the chance. PS3 had a slow start but now they sold 70 million units while Xbox sold 75 million. Im expecting that the Vita is going to be the same thing. Start off slow but pick up speed because Xseed just announced they will be porting over more games like Persona 4 Golden plus the games thats coming soon already looks good.

There is a reason, in North America, the Xbox 360 is outselling the PS3 hand over fist. I live in North America so the rest is irrelevant to me. |

Just walk away from the Vita:
PS1 games on PSN can be played on a PSP as well, much cheaper too. PSP memory cards are much cheaper compared to Vita memory cards. Future of Vita games are bleak because Publishers see the Vita for what it is, a failure. Low sales, low attach rates, low overall review scores for Vita games, Vitas being cleared out from AA&T, 3G use from Vitas not being used much. For under 100 bucks, it will be something to tinker with at most. At 200 bucks... A waste of cash. As for those who think shelling out $300ish to play one game..... "There's a sucker born every minute", so which minute were you born on and day too? |

I really just started playing my psp now that I have a ps3. I've been thinking about grabbing a vita but I don't see any difference except for an extra stick that should have been put on the psp years ago. Is there any real reason to upgrade to the vita? I've read about the negatives, but are there any positives for psp owners to get a vita?

The reason why 360 sells more in America is for the same reason people shop at Walmart and eat at McDonalds. Because it's cheaper upfront and because in America people buy marketing over function. |

Here's the sales figures: 1.Wii – 99.38 million as of 31 December 2012 (2012 -12-31) 2.PlayStation 3 – 70.2 million as of 30 September 2012 (2012 -09-30) 3.Xbox 360 – 75.9 million as of 31 December 2012 (2012 -12-31) The first few years of Xbox 360 had a 54% failure rate and many people I know went through 4-5 Xbox's within a couple years. A lot of them didn't even bother to RMA or they were eventually out of the extended warranty and had to buy another console. PS3 had anywhere between 11~17% failure rate and since it was sold at more of a premium, so I can only imagine they were RMA'd more and less were re-purchased. I have PSN and Xbox Live Gold and I don't mind PSN one bit. I got the Music Unlimited subscription for $1/month, Gravity Rush / Uncharted for Vita (and a bunch of other games) for free, and use it as a Blu Ray player as much as I game. I've got more use out of my PS3 than I ever will my Xbox. Also, Xbox's (Wii, as well) purchasing system is ridiculous. You're always left with an odd amount of leftover points when you want to buy a low price game. At least Sony decided on a $ amount and a Wallet system, rather than some idiot point system.
