Wii U Consoles: Basic $245 ($257 non-members), Deluxe $300 ($315 non-members) + Free shipping

Thinking of getting one but I have a couple of questions.

- Internal HDD to upgrade?
- Do you have a nintendo account like with PSN or Xbox Live?
- Are downloaded games tied to the console like with the Wii? Still bitter over losing $40 in games (excitebike, dr mario) when I got rid of my Wii.

good deal eh? Hmmm...I dunno. Doesn't look like there's much of any good games. But then again, I only have about 4 Wii games...heh.

SD card, flash drive, or external hard drive are usable via USB connection.
Nintendo accounts are free (at least they got rid of the junky friend codes this time)
Still tie to console. (so stupid) As long as Nintendo continues to do business this way, I don't buy any digital contents from them. My money goes to XBLive/PSN for digital.

I'm gonna say its been a waste of money so far. Mario can only keep you entertained for so long, and unless its a blockbuster i must play, the days of $60 games are over.

why amazon doesnt sell these

i was rather close to buying one but ended up getting it for my nephew instead. I thought it was overpriced and to pay $60 for ported games that are $40 on other systems sealed the deal on not purchasing it. It seems like so far this is the VISTA of gaming consoles

actually they said that it is selling a lot less than they had hoped for, but they were not going to lower the price of it like they did for the 3ds. They stand by saying that because of the 3rd party support(lack there of) and the buggy software is the reason why it isn't selling, and they hope by fixing these problems that it will sell well.

This console is already dying. No games, no interest. Bargain bins soon.

I'm avoiding this console right now. There are a lot of AAA titles that are avoiding the WiiU and coming out on consoles I currently own. Even with fantastic games on the Wii, I feel like I didn't get my money's worth. Mario and Link are awesome, but once I finished those, the Wii gathered dust. With new PS4/360-2s coming out with potentially more powerful hardware, I could see this console generation going like the last except the WiiU never getting off the ground.

Nothing worse than spending $300 on a console and seeing all the software dry up to the point it's not even worth a TV input. A console that doesn't get used is a waste of money and not a slickdeal, no matter how cheap.

Gonna wait until March for the MH:U launch then probably buy this.
Before that there really isn't anything remotely interesting.

Im probably going to skip this system all together. The new Marios and Zeldas just arent interesting or fun anymore. With the new Xbox and Playstations coming out right around the corner I have next to no interest in the Wii U
