Blindly ignoring the faults of the system and claiming that the Console is fun, blah, blah, blah is not productive
Bashing the console and ignoring the positive aspects of the Console is also not productive If you want the Wii U, get it because this is a pretty damn good price for it. If you don't want the Wii U or have it already, cool. Move on. Not picking a side, but... |

Yeah, I'm much the same. I ended up getting the particular hdmi switch that i did only after reading that it can be controlled via my Harmony remote so I didn't have to do any analog switching so there is that at least. |

As for games, I only have NintendoLand & Sonic Racers so far and that plus my Wii games will tide me over for a bit. I'm not sure what updates the systems come with now but plan on a few hours of downloading the latest update and any app you launch such as Netflix & Youtube having an update at first launch. If you have a Wii and want to transfer your data, go ahead and back-up any Miis and any you want to your controllers and copy any saved games to the Wii SD card to be loaded back on to the Wii later if you plan to still use it. Download the Wii U transfer tool on your Wii. That transfer alone takes a while and you need access to both consoles (tho the Wii can be on the TV while the Wii U can be navigated just on the tablet). After that you can transfer the Miis back to the Wii but you can no longer play any downloaded games on the Wii as they are now just accessible on the Wii U but you can play the physical copies on either system (if you backed up your saved games you have those on both as well). Oh, also, plan on plugging in and charging the tablet for 2+ hrs prior to use. |

No, it's way too late. You may get lucky and get someone who buys your story at the return counter but... why? You had a LONG time to return it. Sorry, I just can't help but shake my head about it. Just open it up and play it. The Wii U is pretty fun. DON'T listen to these fools blabber about how 'smart' and 'right' they are. Remember, they are arguing on a forum that has nothing to do with opinions about the Wii U, but rather about a lower price. They purposely won't poke their heads in an actual opinion forum because they know they can't win any argument there - not that there's a checkered flag over here, either. It's too late, just enjoy what you can out of it. Since plenty of AAA games are coming for it, you won't be losing out on anything. The visuals (industry doesn't use the term 'graphics' and the use of that term immediately shows a lack of knowledge one has towards games - which furthers the proof of minimal intelligence shown in some of the comments previous to this one) aren't lacking like the Wii had the problem with, and now there's a controller available that is just like a traditional gaming pad. You'll be happy with it - or just sell it on Craigslist for $300, Costco may not have it for that price for a while again! |

depending on what games you are going to play and who to play with makes a difference on what all you may want to get. I have had my Wii since release and have 4 controllers, 2 nunchucks, a wheel (for my 3yr old to play Mario Kart) and with the Wii U I have acquired the tablet that came with it, a Motion Plus with FlingSmash, and another Afterglow controller that I haven't even opened yet. This seems to give me a good mix of what is required for everything I have and playing with a group. No need to run out and buy 4 of everything. |

I noticed that Nintendo is putting out more Virtual Console games. Each month they have a promotional game download for $.30 so I went over to Target and got an eShop gift card using my Red Card to get the 5% off and picked up the first of the games tonight. Looks like all of the games are what inspired a lot of the NintendoLand mini-games. Looking forward to being able to play my other Virtual Console games on the tablet as well.
