Saw this one earlier as Newegg has had this before. Just don't know if it's worth it over an IPS and if the "open box" is worth the price.
Purchasing open box is fully up to you. Although I have never had issues with Newegg open box, I fully understand your hesitation. This monitor is fantastic. I prefer it to the Dell
U2713HM for it's semi-gloss finish, less ghosting in games, and I find PLS color to be preferable to what I have seen on similar IPS screens such as the 2713HM. I would probably get the Auria EQ276W if I had a Microcenter near me as I don't like Microcenter's online return policy and I can't get an extended warranty from an out of state company in FL(Although if I go to the MC in Atlanta and purchase the warranty in GA, it would still be valid when I return to FL). At $490 or $480, if you get a good one, this is a steal based on the price history of name brand 2560x1440 monitors.
I will keep this post up to date if it comes back in stock. There were only 7 when I originally ordered mine so I knew they would be gone fast, I just wanted to give fellow SDers a heads up.
