Just an FYI, local walmarts in some states will not carry these. I know here in Delaware Walmart will not carry them as they are illegal. Not sure about online.

They are illegal because Delaware is has some dumb laws about them. I bought one for my son and actually called the DMV and the state police to talk abou it. Basically, they are not street legal, so you can not use them on roads. Further, in Delaware, the only place you can use a non-street legal gas/eletric vehicle is on your own property. So tchnically, these are legal to ride in your driveway/property in Delaware, but no where else.

To be fair, the cops also told me that my son riding his powerwheels through my development was also technically illegal, as you can not operate a non-street legal on any public street.

I'm hoping that NJ does not have these laws.

So everyone knows, these will barely climb a steep hill, are hard to push when it won't go, and the range drops to about 2-3 miles unless you're almost weightless and use it only on flat roads.

And yeah, every state has some funny laws around these...some require a drivers license and/or helmet for electrics over a certain wattage, some don't allow using any motorized device that isn't registered for use on public roads, some restrict using them on bike paths or in certain parks. Of course, for 99.9% of the population, they'd never get grabbed by the cops. If I got on one of these, a seal team and a swat team would immediately rappel down from helicopters and shoot me.

And I'd deserve it for riding one of these.

I looked at one for a few minutes, considering it to be like a cheap second electric car and a lot of the stuff I do is within 3-4 miles. It wasn't going to make a 6-8 mile round trip because its hilly where I live.

My days of having to walk around walmart stores are over.

not a bad scooter. I started off riding my bike, but I'd get to work pretty sweaty. So I got one of these. Made the 4 mile trip to work kind of fun and relaxing. I got heckled by a few times by guys in penis compensating cars, but no harm done cause quite a few granola eating hippy girls thought it was awesome that I loved mother earth or something like that. Anyway, it goes about 12-13 mph with a 165lb person on it.
