Have any of you (adults) used this as a learning tool? I played a little in high school, but you can pretty much label me a beginner since I've forgotten just about all of it. I've thought about taking lessons, but since the drive would be 30+ minutes on a good day, I know I wouldn't last long. It'd be nice to go at my own pace. I don't expect it to make me an expert, just wondering if it's a nice pick up and play tool.

I've been debating whether to get this or try some of the learning tools built in to Apple's Garage Band app for Mac. Insight from someone experienced would be great. I've tried DVDs in the past as well, but I just find myself getting annoyed at Joe Blow.

Also, are there fixes out there for the audio delay? I'll be playing on the Xbox and I've noticed that even the good reviews on Amazon [amazon.com] mention this. I'll be getting a surround sound soon, but I'd rather not have to switch between my HDMI & Component outputs all the time.

Just did this exact same thing two weeks ago, buying and simultaneously trading-in to Amazon when this was selling there for $37.99 with a $30 TIV.

I just needed a replacement for my old cable but didn't want to fork out $30 for it.

I bought Two games brand new from best buy. Traded them in to have the cables for myself and they were reject for missing accessories.... NOW I have to return them to best buy.

Glad to hear it, it would really suck if Amazon re-sold your game without cables.

Well they do sell the game without cables.

Others were trading in and getting approved. I figured I would do the same thing, I could use a few extra USB to guitar cables.

Kind of sucks to have other approved and have mine turned down.

I guess Im off to best buy to return these - no need to the game...
