Godaddy takes/steals back domain name

You know that I already posted in your thread and was suggesting you bust those b***ards for defrauding you, so how you came to believe that I'm trolling, is rather strange.
I can't even watch movies with torture and/or cruelty, much less derive joy from seeing real people suffer in any way.

I, and surely others, would like to know what happened when you called them.
What was their excuse?
How did they justify it?
How did they react to you accusing them?
etc.

Wtf are you talking about, you're already talking about your problems. A lot of people are shitty with customer service, we might be able to help you out. Also always call more than once, at least have the satisfaction of costing them money by tying up the phone.

Ok, I don't get how calling them repeatedly will help. But if you must know, I was on the phone with them for 45 mins and spoke with the CSR and then his section Manager (or what ever the title was). They openly said they don't know what happened, but there is nothing that they can do. I was not berating them and was very respectful, but exasperated at the same time. There was nothing that I could do to make them put it back into my account. They basically had just robbed me, and tried to hold back laughters because they knew I could not do anything to them. They just flat out refused to do it, and they just said that there was nothing that they can do and asked what other problem that they could help me with, if not, they will have to let me off the line.

They follow the same script as any other corporation that screws their customers. It is not unexpected.

As I don't have/know the resources to go after them, I am here asking around for people that know concrete and reasonable solutions. If I have money to hire a lawyer, I would sue them in a heart beat. But I have never had any legal representation and I don't even know who to contact, I flipped through the yellow pages and the lawyers that I called were basically dismissed my case immediately since they are uninformed in internet laws and they see no money in this case.

How do you think they justified/reacted? If you were making $8-$10 answering customer phone calls and your company just screwed out a customer, and the customer (me) has no leverage whatsoever, what would you say other than "oops, sorry, but too bad".

With an attitude like yours, I'm not surprised that you couldn't make headway in your case against godaddy.

I already told you what to do! You DO NOT need to call a lawyer. Most lawyers would probably laugh in your face because this simply isn't worth their time. For starters, what kind of a dollar value are you putting on this? I assume it's less than the max small claims court could award in your state. Follow all the non-court based avenues I already told you about and if you don't see satisfaction that way file a small claims court case and show up to court. If you're lucky GoDaddy won't even show and you'll likely win.

that would only be provided you don't agree to the terms where many companies pick a town in their state for any type of court or arbitration to be held..He would have to read the terms when signing up..

No apology necessary, you seriously expect me to entertain the notion that you thought that there were the possibility that my conversation with gdaddy CSR went over so well and everything was fine and peachy, but I then made things up and post here to garner attention? You seriously suggesting that gdaddy would had given back my domain had I adopted a different attitude?

Your post reconfirm that you try to disguise your glee with sympathetic platitudes (that is what trolls do, if the shoes fit...). I come across this type of personality every so often, people who pretend to be sympathetic but they take secret joy hearing about other people's misfortunes. I don't expect nor want to "endear" myself to people like that.

The problem with small claim is that gdaddy is not in my state, so I don't know if it is doable. The court has ruled in the past that Ebay/paypal small claim lawsuits don't have to be filed in California. But I don't know if that ruling will extend to gdaddy's business model and Arizona.


I am trying to find some concrete advice and not unspecific ideas of lawsuits as I don't want to attract attention to the name. Let's just say that the name is very valuable to me or someone who is exploring a similar business venture.

How much experience/credential do you have dealing with gdaddy regarding this particular issue? I want to give you weight for seemingly confident in giving your opinion.

If GoDaddy cant be trusted, I wonder who else should be.
