Costco return policy for TVs
Hi Folks,
Can anyone tell me whether you can return/rebuy a TV at Costco with no hassle? The Vizio 70" picked up a manufacturer's rebate last week (>$300!). I'm within my 30 day window, but according to the return desk, they can only adjust price within 14 days for manufacturer rebate items. So, I'm faced with the choice of 1) buying the TV for $1579 and returning that unit with my original receipt (~$1900), or 2) having to take the original unit off the wall, repackage, etc., etc., and return it.
Any recommendations? Option 1 is my preference, naturally, as I think it's better for everyone involved (since they don't have to deal with an open box item).
If I'm forced to Option 2, how does that affect my SquareTrade warranty? Can I transfer it to the new device?
Thanks!
