how do i play 3d files on windows 7?

i have digital copies of a couple 3D movies but when i play them it's two images side by side. how do i get the 3D image? help!

i'm working with an old gt240 card that kicks out 3D test images just fine, if that helps any.

There should be a 3D function on your 3d TV monitor for SBS (side by side).

I tried playing a 3D SBS file with KMPlayer. You need to change your 3D setting to side by side on your monitor.

so i got the images to merge, it's red and blue, how do i get the images to become passive 3D? i don't see an option for that in KM player. my tv is set to 3D, the 2D image is blurry but and so is the 3D image but in different kinds of blurry. the 3D image seems to have massive crosstalk.

SBS and red/blue are completely different...

i got the red and blue to go away by choose by using KMplayer and chosing the 3D icon in the lower left. I set my tv to 3D but the pictures is still really fuzzy. when i switch back to 2D the picture is completely fuzzy, if that makes any sense. appears to me that i have massive cross talk issues in 3D mode, help!

why is this so hard. it's like when they first started creating mp4 and wmv files and you needed codecs to play them. that led to a lot of virus infestations

update: i got some of them to show up on my bluray player, using my htpc as a DLNA media server. they play from there, but only 2/12 movies showed up for playback. so pissed.
