The instant suspend/resume feature sounds pretty cool and would be a nice bonus, but not something I would really consider getting one console over the other for. My top 3 concerns are probably cost of ownership, game library, and hardware.

so yes you can say 7 years is nearly 10 years, but you cannot say 11 years is nearly 10 years.

now you're arguing that you think 7 years isn't close enough to say its almost 10 years.
im just saying by context you cannot say "11 years is nearly 10 years" its just factually incorrect.

and we can use math principals of rounding and avg to say, well yes you can say 7 is nearly 10 as its above the median (5) and rounding principals make the statement acceptable.

Besides why the fark are you getting all butthurt that people are saying the console's almost 10 years old? If you want to get technical, the console is even closer to 10 years old if you factor in 2 years of R&D making it over 9 years old.

i have to say experiencing the suspend feature on the PSP/PS Vita, its a VERY nice feature
there's pretty much no downtime from turning on to playing.

The DS does this also with some games, others just turn the screen off but doesn't suspend (im looking at you pokemon, farking 120 hours of gametime in that game my ass)

I agree in that the suspend feature, if it works how I imagine, will be awesome. I picture it as a "push start to pause the game...then push the power since I am going away for a little while". I am also hoping that there is more instantaneous saving. The loading screens get me just about as much as the "do not turn off your console...saving game" followed up by the "Are you sure you want to quit to the main screen? You will lose all unsaved progress"

You round to deal with significant figures. Otherwise you could say I am nearly 100 (30 rounds to 50...then 50 rounds to 100...so, I am almost there).

I am just butt hurt because it is a completely invalid reason for a new console. If you think it is old...just say that. But it is not 10 years old, so don't say that.

Quadruple actually...I'm over 25 so I just rounded to 30. So, if I am not 100, I am zero? Just because I am not over 50 I am an infant? That is my point...rounding to a decade when you are talking about something with a 5-6 year life span is just stupid.

Then the reason we need new consoles is because we have shitty FOV and lower resolution/pixel games...not because the consoles are closer to 1000 years old than they were a year ago. It may be a cause, but it isn't a reason. Being old doesn't give you cancer, but as you get older you may get it.
