the thing is a beast... plain and simple. My concern is the price now. Literally nividias titan gpu which only has (only) 6 gb Gddr5 is $700+ How in the sh*t is sony going to keep this thing below $500?

8gb gddr is less than $100 not wrapped in nvidia chips.

I would guess a build cost of 400 and a selling price of 499 - Sony said they don't want to sell at a loss this time.

This is unified memory, so im guessing it'll be similar to integrated GPU.
Especially that they're using an AMD Jaguar chip, i suspect this is a custom integrated solution. Yes the number seems very impressive, but we're not 100% sure how the ram is suppose to be allocated. Also the AMD Jaguar is a low power consumption chip that's suppose to compete with the Intel Atom. This one obviously is a custom one, but don't go nuts thinking this console is better than the Ivy Bridge/Bulldozer setups for desktops lol

And i'd say GDDR5 isn't that expensive these days, i mean a lot of low end entry cards come with 1gb GDDR5 these days
