PS4: PlayStation Meeting Feb 20 NYC @ 6PM

PSN+ just in the last 3 months that i became a member has had some great titles released.
I got mine when they started the free Vita games, during that time for PS3 i've gotten super street fighter 4 arcade edition, Scott Pilgram vs the World, NBA Jam, Megaman 9 & 10, Double Dragon Neon, Retro City Rampage, Sonic Classi (1,2), and King of Fighters 13

For Vita i've gotten the obvious ones: Uncharted, Gravity Rush, Wipeout, FF Tactics, but in addition Jet Set Radio and Retro City Rampage.

So for the $50.00 i paid for PSN since Nov, im fairly happy with all the freebies given, and the price discounts too.

Oh, yeah well... "I get to pay $60 for party chat, full of dick jokes, and to subsidize multi-million dollar contracts for 1 month exclusive expansion packs and TV stations!" (as per: XBL community) Sony needs to pimp PS+ on-stage at E3.

All MS Shilling aside, it is true that I am deep into the MS Ecosystem. I do not see one of these consoles BLOWING the other away...especially enough to warrant a change. What would one feature be that would cause a complete switch? MS would really have to release a brick of sh*t for me to completely abandon it and spend $600+ to get into the PS world.

I do not have the expendable cash to get into both systems. That is not an option

Having said that...all of my comments about the Next Gen are being said with the understanding that my XBL Account will transfer over completely intact. I will keep access to all of my digital games and will be able to play all my Xbox 360 games on the newer console too. If the backwards compatibility is not there with my account, that would COMPLETELY flip the coin for me and I'd almost want to switch out of spite.

Well anyway I find it a little bit odd you have no problem keeping up that XBL sub but buying another console for a couple hundred bucks is completely out of the question...

That isn't even comparable...There is an 8 year break even point between the two options...I don't even consider that close.

$35 a year is WAAAAAY easier than $300 one time. Plus even then it isn't a break even...I would not get the same experience with [360+Live] as [360+PS3] as I don't know anyone with a PS3 and I would be losing the ability to interact with them on my 360.

All I want for the next gen is a reasonably priced console that has an online store that has decent sales for ALL users(unlike this seperate pricing scheme Sony has introduced if you're just a regular PSN user versus a PS+ subscriber).

But I know both Sony and MS are gonna gouge out the ass and charge $500-600+ per console at launch for their new shiny shiny machines. So I guess I'll do like I did this gen and wait 3-5 years to get into the new gen again. Especially since Gamestop and Best Buy game flipping seems to be dropping off immensely. Otherwise I'd just dump a ton of crap games on both stores to facilitate buying a next gen console before 2016-2018.

Sony puts on pretty good sales, actually, like the 13 for '13. They just make the prices insanely sweet for PS+ as an incentive to purchase the service.

Looking forward to the PS4. Games better be in FHD @60 fps right from launch. (like the PS3 was supposed to be. I bought an expensive 1080p TV with it when it came out and I was disappointed when I found out that so many games were not in FHD let alone HD)

Technical Q...what is the difference between 120 fps and 120 Hz. My basic knowledge would say fps would be the measure of a game and Hz is the measure of a TV. Anyone with a 60Hz TV (pretty dang common) wouldn't be able to even see the 120 fps... correct?

With that said...I don't know the statistical break down, but I'd say if there is added cost to go from 60fps to 120fps, they won't do it as it won't be realized by many. Is it just a flick of a switch?

C'mon now...that is like being upset at the prices people get at DirectBuy and Sam's Club...

Maybe the REASON they have access to the deals is because they are being funded by the membership fee. It isn't like either system is charging you MORE if you aren't a member, they are just saying "if you pay us $40 up front...we will give you access to deals later".

Most times the deals push me into getting games I wouldn't ever normally buy, I don't consider that a savings, but it did save me $15 for The Walking Dead game.

I don't know what the current consensus is, but there used to be quite a debate over whether or not the human eye could see the difference past 60FPS. But you're correct, if your screen is only refreshing sixty times per second (60Hz), you won't be able to see any framerate difference beyond that.

I think you can...wouldn't that be why you can see funny stuff on the 120Hz TVs? That is where I noticed it the most...(You know...that soap opera effect they were also talking about with the 60fps movies).

My TV has way too many options dealing with the Hz...it is just confusing, haha. Mostly because there are all sorts of digital conversions too to make it look however you want. I turned some off once and the picture looked so different it was throwing me off. I can't tell you if it was better or worse, just different, and it was weird
