I think you can...wouldn't that be why you can see funny stuff on the 120Hz TVs? That is where I noticed it the most...(You know...that soap opera effect they were also talking about with the 60fps movies).

My TV has way too many options dealing with the Hz...it is just confusing, haha. Mostly because there are all sorts of digital conversions too to make it look however you want. I turned some off once and the picture looked so different it was throwing me off. I can't tell you if it was better or worse, just different, and it was weird

Depends on what you're watching, but it's mostly used as a marketing term to illustrate that it does not have the inherent flaws of other display technologies.

Yep. Refresh rate doesn't mean quite the same thing with the way plasmas work.

I wonder what refresh rate a rail TV would have...if a plasma cannon shoots fast, but a rail gun shoots faster...
