If you want to know why you'd pick ASUS over another brand, there are several reasons. They make a compelling argument about selecting higher grade components, and their warranty is pretty good. On top of that, i've bought several recent ASUS cards alongside similar ones from other companies and the ASUS ones seem to be cooler. The cooling assemblies are generally constructed better (MUCH better than some PNY, MSI, even EVGA and other cards) and work better. IMHO, for a similar price, it makes no sense to get anything else.

Showing in store only, no problems here have a Fry's 5 minutes away. I paid $300 at launch for my Gigabyte 660TI and it has been a great card.
$239 AR is a good deal by itself, but it also comes with download vouchers for Borderlands 2 (awesome!) and Assassin's Creed 3 (meh). Those could sell for $20 each on fleabay if you're not interested in them. Borderlands 2 is totally worth it though, I have had a blast with it and it runs like a dream on these cards. 3 year warranty. And I would totally buy an Asus card over the usually discounted brands like Galaxy and Zotac (meh and double meh). Thumbs up. edit - additional thought.... the rebate is good for 2 cards, but Fry's says 1 per household. So if you want SLI either take a friend with you to get 2 at once, or take a chance on dropping the card off at your car and going back in for a second one. That could vary from store to store... if they are on the shelf, probably no big deal. But if they are behind a counter and you have to engage a sales rep, it kind of depends on their mood. Very good review: http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pa...eview.html
Think I finally go for this one and with paying with Amex will give me a total of 5 years warranty. WTF? In store only ![]()
