Is this thing any good? I'd like to have a cheap waterproof camera around, but they range from $40-400, and I haven't seen something that is obviously great (big sensor/lens/etc).

I had this (paid maybe 40-50, forget the exact amount).

It surprisingly lasted longer than my other 3 attempts at "Waterproof" cameras. This was the least expensive one, yet lasted the longest...I think I even spent about $150 on an Olympus one (that was a slick deal too).

Just like the others, mine died...got water in it somehow. I used it and was pretty rough with it (lake use, Cabo San Lucas with huge waves, snorkeling, jet skiing, in the pool with the kids, underwater everywhere, North Carolina beaches, plenty of boat trips...)...

I think this is a good deal because if you buy a waterproof camera, it will break....might as well not spend a ton....also don't have to worry about your camera.....
