Sort of a PSA if you're considering this. I bought two sets of these a little while ago from bensoutlet (I think). What you need to know is that you MAY have to download the Logitech Unifying software to get these to work. At least, I did. Neither of my packages included any install disks of any kind. After that, set up is pretty easy but if you're expecting plug and play as with many USB devices, think again.

Having said that, I really like these. Mine work just as well as wired devices and I don't ever expect to go back.

Honestly something was wrong with your PC. I run 9 of these in the office. They always work flawlessly just by plugging in the adapter. If it in fact required software, then you would not be able to press delete to get into your bios at startup. That is not acceptable, so they have to make them plug and play.

On another note, you might as well get this deal instead. Brand new and only 10 bucks more.

Actually, you may have a point. I tried this first on my work laptop which still runs on Windows XP (yes, there are still some dinosaurs alive). Perhaps, that was a factor. However, with the software, it runs flawlessly and it really wasn't a big deal.
