The receiver doesn't inherently do wireless, so the cheapest easiest option is to use a headphone jack male to rca female adapter and plugging it into the front audio inputs. Or something like this is you want video http://store.apple.com/us/product...Y3ODQ5OTY#
I am not an ipod expert though so you might want to research that

The universal port on the back is what Onkyo wants people to use for Ipod docks, especially the ones they make, but that is the expensive option, but is a lot more streamlined and can allow remote use.

Ever since connecting mine I've faced a similar issue. I've given up on the whole Wi-Fi idea and instead, I'm going with a Bluetooth receiver. I've read up on it quite a bit and besides the obvious 3.5mm-ish quality I see no reason why it should fail. I'm planning on using a 3.5mm - RCA (white/red) adapter to connect a wireless Bluetooth receiver to the front panel inputs. I'll still have to plug in via USB to charge the receiver but depending on which receiver I end up purchasing, I don't see a problem with this either. Here's a link to the unit I was looking at initially... http://www.amazon.com/BlueGate-Bl...B00727FE5U

Here's another from Belkin which includes the RCA plugs... http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-F8Z4...0047T79VS/

For $30 it seems like a good deal. I already have the 3.5mm to RCA adapter but if you need one, scroll down to the "Frequently Bought Together" section to add one to your cart. I'm sure there are other, possibly less expensive options but I'm frankly tired of looking.

I would be happy to read others' thoughts on this as well. I need something to accommodate both iPhones and Android devices so obviously the Apple product was never an option for me.

Or, for another option, you could look for something like the Samsung HM3700 Bluetooth headset which comes with a 3.5mm jack adapter - it was often available for less than $20after rebate (thank you sSDers). Nothing much onsale at the moment, although Cellphoneshop have it for $30 for the next hour...
http://www.cellphoneshop.net/hm3700.html (Enter code freeship2 for free shipping)

But it might be worth exploring for other headsets that include that adapter - it was not even always mentioned in the product description but I can verify that it works to stream music to the Onkyo (with the RCA adapter as Izzrdboy said).

As for streaming video, that is another story...anyone?

Thanks Domino! As for video, I simply stream from the BluRay or the PC via HDMI.

Yes, me too but not from phone...

I just looked around a bit and found that headset (via yoyo1212 's post from august) on eBay for $30 also:

http://slickdeals.net/?sdtid=5120942&sdpid=52851668&sdfid=9&lno=3&trd=http+cgi+ebay+com+ws+eBayISAPI+1&u2=http%3A%2F%2Fcgi.ebay.com%2Fws%2FeBayISAPI.dll%3FViewItem%26amp%3Bitem%3D271017139905

(There are tons of threads here about the HM3700, but you may not want to look too far as the super slick deals are long gone...)

One more - the SD-wiki for the HM3700 rebate deal (by badboyee? not sure) also links to this Miccus mini-jack receiver for $36 from Amazon :
http://slickdeals.net/?sdtid=3733418&sdfpid=65738&sdfid=30&lno=1&trd=this&u2=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FMiccus-BluBridge-mini-jack-Rx-Bluetooth%2Fdp%2FB0038MA11U%2Fref%3Dsr_1_3%3Fie%3DUTF8%26amp%3Bqid%3D1324329075%26amp%3Bsr%3D8-3

looks like no RCA adapter to jack is needed for that one...
