Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" 16GB Wifi for $499.99 with $100 Fry's Gift Card

Any free shipping codes? I have this added to the cart but don't see the $100 gift card added.....first time doing this with frys....

I cant figure out the diff between the Note vs Galaxy Tab 2. They look similar to me.

They look very much identical but the note has a slightly better innards and of course the main selling point is its stylus. However, I paid $300 w/ $100 GC from Frys for the tab last xmas.

Nice deal if you were already on the fence for buying a $500 tablet. I was holding out for the Note 8" but this is tempting me again...

Could you buy one, then buy another using the gift card from the first purchase, then return the first tablet and second gift card? A little work but it would then be a $400 tablet without getting saddled with a gift card.

Finally got through on the phone... $100 gift card is only good for in store purchases...does me no good since I am on the east coast and no Fry's here....

Question: Is it a "Fry's" gift card or is it a gift card that can be used in all of the "Kroger" family of stores (Fred Meyer, QFC, Krogers, Frys, etc.)?

EDIT: From what yenner said, it seems that it may be Fry's only. I haven't confirmed though. If it were a true Kroger gift card, then likely you would be able to use it online.

Good thinking but Fry's is quite fastidious in noting down the serial numbers and matching them when returning so you may get tripped up when the gift card number and tablet number are not from same receipt. May be worth a try but it is a YMMV. The worst case scenario is that you get the original deal with the gift card.

I got excited and thought it was the Note II.

Note that with tax on the full price and the display disposal fee, you are looking up to $550 or so and then you pay tax again on the things you purchase with the gift card. So effectively, you are paying sales tax twice on that $100 in GC.

One could try what some were able to do with the earlier Tab with GC deal. PM it at Best Buy which will likely structure it as separate $400 tablet and $100 GC purchases with tax due on only the $400. You should then be able to return the gift card since it is not tied to the tablet purchase.

If you guys are really interested in this, I would find out how much it cost at Costco (479.99 - $40 coupon book = $439.99 ) and PM that. Hopefully, you get it for $439.99 and get the $100 GC with it. It's a really nice tablet.

I thought Best Buy didn't match gift card deals.
