Lionel Trains Polar Express Train Set - O Gauge Passenger $161 Amazon Warehouse (Used-Like New)

G-Gauge version of this. On sale most of the time during BF for $75 at TRU or JCP. But it is plastic, it runs on batteries, and it has no smoke. I am saving for the O-Gauge, i think it is a better investment and it will last long.

Hmmm. I dont care about the plastic (isn't this O gauge plastic?) or the smoke, but batteries sound like a bad idea.

We bought a Used-Good train last month for $171 from Amazon Warehouse Deals. There was slight damage to the packaging - some scratches on the cardboard box. The train set inside was perfectly new, complete, and worked great. There's still one of those at only $152 - even less than I paid! I wouldn't normally buy "used-good" but I would from from Amazon Warehouse Deals.

I don't know why I come to this site, I'm trying to save $$...but every time I come here, I want to buy something I don't need! Hope this runs out of stock soon!

Great deal! I got my son a new one for Christmas this year. Works great! Both the engine and tracks are very high quality. The engine is a metal die cast piece that is very heavy and detailed. This is a set that becomes an heirloom. My old Lionel set was my dad's Christmas present when he was a kid and it will eventually get handed down to my kids.



I have never heard of anyone complaining of the quality of these, are you sure you got the big O gauge set? Or did you get the little ones?

I am trying to get a feeling for the 'size' of O Scale/Gauge ... can someone tell me how long the locomotive is on this set? Thanks in advance.

Reviews are horrible for the later versions. Reviews scaring me away. Don't want one that breaks around Christmas. Latest reviews: Bankruptcy, cheaper manufacturer, transformer issues. Sad.
