Not at all. The deal from OP's link is at a special price that you can't find on the regular website. They're $69.98 for 2 dozen red roses regularly.

I've used proflowers 3 times and have had good results every time....

I was a click away from submitting order but I came back and read some more of the thread. After reading horror stories I'm glad I didn't submit my order. Ended up going to 1800Flowers instead.

I had a bad experience from flowers shipped from Pro Flowers too. They got held up for an extra day by Fedex due to the weather (not Pro Flowers fault, but keep in mind sometimes packages can get held up for various reasons). Pro Flowers forgot to include the gift tag with my message so my friend had to call Pro Flowers to find out who sent them to her. Embarrassing. I complained to them to no avail. I won't ever buy flowers from them again. I have never had any problems at all with 1800flowers, Gifttree, or FTD.

My wife told me if I really loved her, just give her something that doesn't lose value over time, ie. flowers. She told me "I don't wanna waste time and effort scouring Target for good clearance deals so you can blow away all those savings on flower, esp during hot period like V-day!"

It's a shame that more women aren't like that. Many, including mine, want the roses delivered to the office for bragging rights. I feel that paying $75 or more for roses at V-Day is totally absurd, but if that makes the wifey happy...lol.

Pro Flowers was always hit and miss with me. I used them for a number of years and watched the weather when I had flowers being delivered. In freezing weather and very hot weather they never looked very good or lasted more than a couple of days. When they added the "Care and Handling" charge I stopped using them. Now I use the whoever has the best prices and delivers to where I need them to go.

Thanks for pointing this deal out! I picked 2/14 fr the delivery date and didn't get charged extra money for valentines day delivery? Regardless for $36 total I'm pretty happy...(To be clear I used the Livingsocial deal to get 30 off)

I think it wouldn't matter too much in a long-distance relationship though too, because the other person would be forgiving if they weren't in that good of shape; the thought is what would count.
I have ordered flowers to be delivered over 9000 miles away (from the 'States to the Philippines) and have ordered some sporadically for the wife since I left the country in August. I think some times they weren't that healthy of flowers upon delivery but the wife didn't mind at all.
