The one at Costco is the same price, is dimmable, and is 1200 lumens. I think most of the HD models top out under 1000 lumens.

no diffuser = light has extreme glare. Specially with those 5 extremely bright points of light.

Costco currently has the Luminus EXT 18w led retrofit kit for $25 in stock B&M. Far better product!

For a very high quality product and warm light, spend $5 and get the Ecosmart by Cree, also at Home Depot. These things continuously monitor and adapt their own color temperature. They also look like permanent light fixtures, and not a cheap LED flashlight stuck in your ceiling.

I really wish these come close to the warm colors of halogen lights, but they don't. If you need it just to light an office where you don't have to look at people for long periods of time then it's for you. Would not recommend them.

The ecosmarts are $26.97 at Home Depot's around here. So, it is only $3 more than the ones in the OP. I have a few of those and they are even better than incandescant light bulbs in terms of light and color. 5 TV's in the house with Verizon FiOS and we only pay $3.99/month to connect all 5 of them. Thanks to Ceton InfiniTV4 and CableCard.
