my understanding is the husky trimmer is a rebadged Poulan. I would have grabbed one if it accepts power broom attachment but apparently it doesn't

Husky 128LD listed above does accept the power broom attachment, not sure about the others though.

In for 1 of the B&D trimmers for my sister. Only $45 with no shipping or tax. I would have had to pay almost $110 out the door at HD or Lowes. Thanks OP.

Hope you enjoy the Husqvarna 128LD 28cc Gas Line Grass Trimmer. I took it back to Lowes after the pull string got stuck and thanks to the safety screws I could not recoil it. Husgvarna told me to take it to their authorized repair place which hadn't worked with Husqvarna in 6 years??? Good Luck!!

As many have said this is not the same company that used to be lauded for its quality especially the stuff sold at Lowes.

For a year now I've been going to estate auctions, you can get used tools for pocket change, good condition chainsaws go for < $50, electric weed cutters go for $3, gas ones go for < $20.

PS: I know I know, they're not new, just giving some deal insight, I guess I could have said the same thing about garage sales.

OK, I'll bite. Ordered the B&D String Trimmer as the electric one I bought in 2001 has pretty much fallen apart.

Thanks and repped!

I can vouch for this one if you have a split boom trimmer:

I do the same thingSmilie
Also keep in mind home depot/lowes carrier Recon stuff just as cheap
You just got to ask the sales people where they're at and negotiate the price
