That's because in our day of "tolerance" apparently no one is discussing inappropriate relationships, that are defined by imbalances in influence/authority within supposedly professional settings.

The biggest problem is public indifference. Unless the issue is advocated by a mob mentality (i,e, march on wall street), or supported by a celebrity/musician, it will be dismissed as "no big deal".

As stated: this lady should lose her job and have her certifications revoked.

The former is made irrelevant by the extremity of the latter. It was more than simply being provocative, too. She was engaging in multiple behaviors that were unprofessional.

No it does not, based on the fact that a student had the remarkably misinformed observation that inappropriate relationships were based entirely on age and not on position of authority. Were such conversations broadly had, such misconceptions would not be held. Perhaps I was overly broad in my choice of adjectives, though. Maybe I should have stated that such conversations regarding inappropriate relationships are so rare, that they are socially irrelevant is the actual problem. Either way, the end result is the same and you are just splitting hairs.

I don't disagree with you. However, some people might put more priority on her classroom ability than extracurricular. Like how some people keep a star athlete on the team even though they're trouble in the locker room and off-field.

There was one student. And they were explicitly told that it was inappropriate. Perhaps they hadn't heard that before because, I don't know, maybe it was their first time in a professional setting? Were you told as a student, "hey, don't sleep with the teachers!"

Right. She may be a great teacher, but poor decisions and behavior like this completely undermine her credibility.

Unlike professional athletes, she has a direct and personal influence on her students. As a public school teacher, her profession comes with certain expectations. She chose to ignore these, and should face the consequences like anyone else regardless of her age or sex appeal.
