Yeah, makes sense only if you were going to buy that rape plan from AT&T or Verizon anyway. The majority of people would be just as happy on some MVNO for much cheaper, even if the data is throttled in various ways.

I just bought it last week. It is big, but it fits in pockets fine. And it's very very readable. I got it partly so I don't need to read annoying mobile versions of websites. The desktop version of Slickdeals, for example, is very readable on it, while it is significantly more difficult to read even on the S3. (Where is my droid app??)

My comments on #1 and #2 are of course self-selecting. Only people who feel it is not too big will buy it in the first place. That is my only disclaimer. But (if I do say so myself ) my point is an interesting one: owners don't complain about the size. And that realization pushed me over the edge into ownership.

Why? Is it better to buy the phone outright and still pay the same monthly bill?

Part of each month's bill goes toward that new phone, whether you take it or not.

Now if they would lower my bill if I did not need their subsidized phone, well that would be a bit different.

Thanks for the size related perspective. I find my iPhone small and always wonder what will it be to own a Note2 but then also always scared on what if I find it too big to carry around.

A noob question, that I know may have multiple correct answers with time, but anyway:
If I buy a nexus 4, what is my current best MVNO option? I am considering T-mobile value post-paid plans or pre-paid plans too. All I need is about 300 mins and 1Gb or more data. Dont need any texts.

(Sorry for asking a rather OT question)

Fyi, it is currently $400 for the amazon etf in addition to the $350 from Verizon, plus the cost of the phone. You are better off paying full retail.

True that, but the problem, at least for me is, 14 days wont be enough to get over the AWW of the new phone and see the reality clearly about the size problem. Not to mention the trouble of switching OSes, devices, types of SIMs, etc etc.

I think Simple Mobile $50 unlimited plan is good for u or if you could live with 100 mins walmart has 100 mins, unlimitd text and 5gb data plan for $30
