OEM Brother Ink Source?
I know $D is all about "compatible" ink cartridges, or CISS, but the Brother printer I got (I believe it's a J430W or something) is producing junk quality from compatible inks from Amazon. I'm curious if anyone knows of a good, cheap source for genuine OEM Brother ink cartridges.
There is plenty ink left in the "compatible" cartridge(s) - I checked visually, and even the on-board system shows a decent amount - but the quality check is showing partial or complete blanks in various combinations. I was printing some photos out (yeah, I know it's probably not a great photo printer), and it was producing very inconsistent prints (striping, missing colors, etc.)
I needed to print a FedEx label last night to get a package out today and it was spitting out nearly blank pages.
I tried doing the nozzle clean about five times and it is still crap. I'm hoping that if I push OEM ink through it will clear it all up, but if it doesn't I may be able to return/replace it under warranty. The printer is probably only 4 months old...
