Nice. I had narrowed it down to this board to replace a dying ASRock AM3 to keep an Athlon II X4 620 in service. The coupon was good for several more weeks so I was waiting to see if the price would drop further (was $60 before rebate previously). In for one.

There is one 95W 8 core chip. I have a 95W board and I have to underclock my 95W CPU for stability. Got it for free so no reason to RMA |

Which 8 core is 95w? I have never seen one, I thought they were all 125w.
I've run 125w cpu's in boards that claim only to support 95w and have had no issues. Maybe I'm lucky. |

Anyone know of a good cheap processor to go with this? I just want to build a cheap HTPC and I have everything except the motherboard and processor. This looks like a pretty good motherboard for my purposes but I'm wondering if it might be better to wait on a motherboard/processor combo deal?

The new AM3+ processors don't seem to be cheap. AM3 at retail seems to be $65-70 & up. Edit: Removed recommendation for a 125W processor - not for this board. Although the price of everything else makes buying an $80 125W processor, then turning off features and underclocking until you reach the power profile you want seem almost reasonable.
