I'm opposite of you. I got it solely for the 3D capability. As far as the phone goes...its not bad. Its pretty quick, camera is nice, good size. Would be happy with it if it was to be my main phone but I haven't done too much with it since I never got it for the purpose of activating on virgin mobile's network. Wifi works great! Lots of bloatware which is expected for virgin mobile...I think only leaves around 1.2 GB internal memory but it comes with 8GB SD card. You have to remove the battery to pop out the SD card.

Rooting allows you to do all sorts of stuff. From tethering to getting rid of the annoying "click" sound when taking a picture. Yeah, it will void your warranty. Honestly, the way the phone works now, I suggest you use it as-is unless you know what you're doing or there is something you really need that is regularly not available.

Good to know. Is it easy to get rid of the bloatware?

Im upgrading from an Iphone 3G, so Im hoping this will be a decent step up. As well as a lower monthly bill.

I honestly don't know if that's a step up. It's just a whole different animal. 4G will be nice, but otherwise.... The savings is pretty substantial though if you're coming from AT&T, Sprint, etc...

Is it unlockable and any custom ROM??
