I just got an ebay email for 10% off one of my ebay accounts... $270 for 500GB. But I just ordered a 120GB 840 Pro.. what would I do with 500gb...

This is the upgrade kit also, not just the bare drive. $20 less than the lowest on slickdeals so far. Definitely FP worthy. Get 'em quick.

I just set up a similar system. I used the Intel 520 120GB SSD as the system/OS drive and used the 500GB 840 as the storage drive (very large files like video/pictures, go on the home server). I'm incredibly pleased. If it's for a laptop (with only 1 HD bay) then it depends on how much storage you need on that system. |

Do note, that the 840 is not the 840 Pro, which is the best Samsung currently offers. In many respects let's lesser than the 830.

TLC huh. This is ok if you're doing mostly reads, but if you're using this for a write-heavy application, make sure you understand the longevity limitations of TLC flash storage.
