The 840 died after 400TB of writes. No on here, and I mean NO ONE will be writing that much to a drive. I have a 240gb Corsair Force 3 (GT model) w/ 3tb write / 5tb read. Shows 100% SSD life. This is with around 295 days (yes, 24/7 on time) of actual usage, so lets round to about 1 year to make things easier. 80 years to kill this drive with real read usage. Hmm.....  My $327 840 from the B&H deal got delivered earlier this week. I feel a bit burned. Though, when I bought my 256 m4, it was $350 at the time (~nov 2011) HAHA I was hesitant about the TLC nand and whatnot as well, but at the end of the day I'm going to slap it in, put my entire Steam library on it, and call it a day. It would probably make more sense to get two of the 250's for $150 each, and put them in a RAID. Better performance for the same price... eh? For Desktop's anyways..

I have a 250GB 840 and plan on adding another one down the road when I'm 100% confident in TRIM working and I can get the same price or lower price ($130). |

This is really good deals but Im not going to spend $300 only for SSD ......
