Just joined. You all seem to get $5 free sometimes, so I thought I'd join.

Avoid Kmart!

I purchased some pajamas. They arrived in 2 separate packages.

They had to be returned. Kmart admits they received the return.

I was credited with one of the 2 original packages.

I have spent too many hours trying to get the second refund.

They now say they have no record of the purchase.

My credit card company will solve the problem.

Dilbert's company is better run than this company.

I’m sorry I didn’t keep track of the time I spent on the phone with these idiots, so I could sue them in Small Claims court, for my time. Even at a minimum wage rate, it would have been worth it.

Sears/Kmart was on a number of lists last year, of companies that wouldn’t survive. They are a disgrace to retailing.

If you need to return anything to them, the company could disappear, before you get your refund.

Avoid!

Guess this started for the month of Jan? I saw the promo when I was clicking through the site because they gave me $5 in points from a technical error last Sunday (which I was unaware of).
Did anyone else receive that message?

IF it was free for a while; I didn't know about it. Good for the occasional good tool deal.

I was getting the same message even though mine expired 1/31 because I did the DO NOT AUTOMATIC RENEW. When I would go to check out, obviously there was NO free shipping even though the web site says I am a member when I know I am not.
Here is the way around this so you can get free shipping. Just do it under another name & e-mail. I did my husband's name & another e-mail addy. This worked like a charm.
IMPORTANT INFO:
My husband's name is on the Sears account as well as mine.
It showed our points # & I still got points credit.
I used the same credit card I always use with Sears.
I ordered 4 camisoles & got the e-mail confirmation.

I wouldn't even be concerned about this except one of my accounts states:
"Your trial will expire on the date above. To keep receiving MAX membership benefits, join now for $79 annually - that's less than $7 a month."

My other account states:
"Automatic membership renewal is off. We'll email you before your expiration date with details on how to renew your annual membership."

Ok. I think I answered my own question. if you are a trial member, you don't have an autorenewal option. But If you are an annual member, you do.
