would this be a marginal improvement over a 1gb radeon 5450 that i got for 15.00 a couple years ago from newegg or pretty much the same?

Any advantage of getting this over my intel onboard HD 3000? I am not an avid gamer though - just movies and internet.

Is the picture below what you're looking for? It works fine in my hybrid setup. Not sure if you ever tried to run an AMD card with physx but if you tried, the games are unplayable. After adding a GT 430, I can run Batman with physx on high without any problems.

Here's a link to a review with a GT 430 in a hybrid setup. However, Nvidia recommends a GT 460 for Batman when running on high but I have yet to find that to be the case.

5450 is along the same level as an HD 3000, this card will give you both definite improvements. But it's only worthwhile if you still play games on lower resolutions. Benefit of a dedicated GPU over any IGP is that the IGP stops using system RAM.

Could anybody please answer, is it compatible with MSI E350IS-E45 AMD E-350 APU? I built this HTPC late 2011. Is it worth upgrading?

If the rebate expires tomorrow 2/3/13 doesn't that mean it will arrive too late to use the rebate? Or do they go by the purchased date which would be today? I hate rebates, but I could use this for a cheap HTPC.

If you have two Nvidia cards, you can set one as dedicated physx in your control panel. If you run AMD as a main, there is a mod that allows you run a hybrid physx with a dedicated Nvidia card for physx. If you have questions on running a hybrid setup, let me know and i can point you in the right direction. It only took me 20 minutes to setup a hybrid physx. My two current video cards are 7870 and a GT 430 but I've decided to purchase this deal and return the GT 430.(The fan on my 430 is too loud and i paid 60 dollars for it last week from Amazon) The GT 430 and the GT 620 are the same card when wanting to run dedicated physx as they both have 96 cuda cores.


The only games that I play with physx is the Batman series and I haven't ran into any problems yet. I've read reviews and this card is good for running max physx in boarderlands 2. The power consumption is also pretty low so you don't have to worry about an overheating case.
