Very limited video card.. is not something a gamer should assume will carry them into the next level of video gaming, it isn't going to do that. If you need something to push a machine a bit off of a built in video controller.. by all means. You can refer to this card chart to help you make that type of decision

The GT 620 is a rebadged GT 530. It has 96 CUDA cores but uses 64-bit DDR3 & the memory/memory bus is the bottleneck. This is NOT a gaming card. It should be OK for an HTPC as long as the fan isn't too loud.

Anyone know if this thing would work with a PCI-E 1X to 16X riser card? I have a headless fujitsu ss4200-e that I may hang this card outside of the chassis due to no room inside especially with 4 drives.

Could anybody please answer, is it compatible with MSI E350IS-E45 AMD E-350 APU? I built this HTPC late 2011. Is it worth upgrading?

on my end, I can reference articles in which a poor "dedicated physx" card actually slowed the game down.

If the rebate expires tomorrow 2/3/13 doesn't that mean it will arrive too late to use the rebate? Or do they go by the purchased date which would be today? I hate rebates, but I could use this for a cheap HTPC.

You need to mail the rebate materials w/in 30 days, but the 2/2-2/3 just indicates the purchase date. From the fine print, "The purchase date on your sales receipt, packing slip or invoice must be a date within the eligibility period indicated..."

generally speaking fan noise is sort of bad with these small fan-small heatsink cards, there are much worse cards than this though

no problem with MSI rebates, they are all processed by 4myrebate.com

Bought this card few weeks ago to save the memory on my old DDR2 streaming machine, the only con I have is the size of the heatsink, it will block an slot, other then that this card runs very quiet and cool, I am fairly picky about noise.

about right on par with HD4000

I don't see on the specs any minimum watt power supply that you need. Will this work with about a 5 year old PC that has a 300w power supply?

This particular card runs very quiet, I took a chance on it and it didn't disappoint, no adjustment or mod was needed, very quiet straight out of the box, my computer sits about 4 feet away from me under my desk with no background noise.
