Is the picture below what you're looking for? It works fine in my hybrid setup. Not sure if you ever tried to run an AMD card with physx but if you tried, the games are unplayable. After adding a GT 430, I can run Batman with physx on high without any problems.

Here's a link to a review with a GT 430 in a hybrid setup. However, Nvidia recommends a GT 460 for Batman when running on high but I have yet to find that to be the case.

would this be a marginal improvement over a 1gb radeon 5450 that i got for 15.00 a couple years ago from newegg or pretty much the same?

In my experience you can use pretty much any card with a 1x -> 16x riser. I actually bought a 1x->1x riser and sawed the end off so a larger card would fit. This was so I could have 2X5870 + a dedicated GT240 for PhysX.

Most of them go through. They sent me a denial letter on my last one cuz I guess no human eye is looking the UPC code? They said they can't see the scanned UPC code. The problem is,UPC was cut out from a brown box. The scanned portion is completely black. Luckily I have a scanned high res. image that I have to send but what a hassle cuz if they want to verify they should look at original UPC code not the scanned one.

I've had a couple issues with them but I do so many rebates that honestly that's to be expected lol. I had the same issue as you with a brown box upc (was on a power supply). A quick call on the phone got them to issue it, I didn't even have to send them a copy of the UPC. I just wish all rebate companies were as easy to work with as 4myrebate.

Any advantage of getting this over my intel onboard HD 3000? I am not an avid gamer though - just movies and internet.

Thanks and I did order one. How can I go wrong for that price. It also has video capture so I can try to use it for recording on my inexpensive HTPC setup. With tax after the rebate the whole deal should come out to $17 and some change. I call that a good deal, saw it on Amazon for about $50 and no free HDMI cable included like this one has.

I have a dedicated Windows 7 computer I want to run XBMC to my TV from. Should I just get a HDMI usb adapter, or is this card the way to go?

Probably not but I'm not 100% sure. The MSI is a PCI 2.0 but your motherboard connector is PCI 1.0.

What kind of power does this thing eat? 95% of the time I'm doing web browsing, photoshop, that kind of stuff. I rarely game, but when I do... it's games like Civ that aren't too GPU taxing. What say you, SlickDeals?

Will this be an upgrade over 9500GT 512MB GDDR2? Just some light HD video editing and Plex server (which I am guessing relies solely on the CPU).
