$15 for $30 to spend on fresh flowers for Valentine's Day...voucher CAN be used toward shipping!

Looks like a pretty slick deal to me, just a question: how do tulips stack up against roses for Valentine's day for the girlfriend? I already ordered the 100 Peruvian Blooms [proflowers.com] from ProFlowers with the $15 for $30 LivingSocial credit to be sent to her work. Does that sort of even it out? Should I forgo the tulips? Too much? Too little?? Advice would be appreciated.

Anybody try using this deal at a B&M store yet? I was contemplating just going the day before and picking up a few roses or something.

The peruvian flowers are nice. I have ordered them MANY times. Only problem is that they dont come fully bloomed. She will receive a bunch of green stems. However, in 48 hours, it will be gorgeous. When they do bloom, they are very large and the colors are wonderful. She will like that you got her pretty flowers.

PS - I dont know how old you are, or what you do for a living... but for most guys (making less than $100k/yr), as long as you get her something, she should be happy. I would recommend doing something romantic to accompany it though (Something personal... Make her dinner, or create some arts and crafts thing like one of the shutterfly picture gifts, etc). If she complains that they arent roses, well... I would reconsider if thats the type of person you want to be in a relationship with.

The Peruvian blooms seem sufficient for flowers to the work place; no point sending multiple different shipments. I agree with that other guys post, Flowers just cover one angle, do something sweet & romantic for her. Also, since you sent all the Peruvian blooms to work, get a rose (1, 3, 6, a dozen depending on your lifestyle & budget) on Valentine's day itself.

btw, how much was shipping with that Proflower Peruvian deal? That deal seems hella slick. As a student, I don't have mad dough to drop, so I'm looking for the most bang-for-the-buck!
