The system is a failure for other reasons, both of which hinge on Nintendo not being able to provide decent hardware or any inkling of a good online system.
Black Ops 2 being cheap on there is not the reason. |

I own the Wii U, and I like it. I don't think you can say it's failed exactly just yet. It's got a slow as molasses launch, but it's not a failure. It's currently my favorite system out of all three, and it's going to be great for what I want it for, which is classic Nintendo titles, and newer Mario, Zelda, Metroid titles. I'll own the next generation of every system, just because I always have, and I think the "U" runs GREAT and will do what it needs to do to provide Mario and classic titles in 1080p goodness.

Had a better launch then both the PS3 and Xbox360 without having a big launch title... I bet you said the 3DS was going to be a failure too. For some reason everyone forgets history. Never count Nintendo out, they have a better chance of success then anyone because they don't care about people like you who only care about the specs. Guess what? Great games have been made since the NES and before that. Specs don't determine the quality of the games and Nintendo always has the best experiences on their consoles. |

Nintendo P-U needs a massive price cut and vastly improved battery life before a purchase is even considerable.

There is space in the battery compartment for a larger battery. I heard 3rd parties are making them. It will make the controller heavier though.
Battery life gets you 3 or 4 hours. Most of the time thst is enough since it ain't portable. Nice thing is they give a charging cord that plugs into the wall so you do not have to run it across your living room floor. Plug it into an outlet behind the couch. |
