To everyone bitching.. Shut up. You paid $60 for a great game that got you what 2.5 years of solid play, now there is an expansion for HALF OF THAT and this will be enough to suffice for another ~2 years. When Protoss one comes out it'll be $30-40 again so bascially if you're smart about it you're only buying TWO full priced games over the course of six years. That is not bad IMO. I'd take that over buying a game and having to pay for retarded ass DLC all the time.

It's not really fair to look at it that way. There is a lot of development into the new expansion with many new features. The post-release support is incredible due to the popularity of multiplayer and Blizzard develops updates to their RTS games more than 99% of other developers support their games. The last major update Blizzard released for Starcraft II was this past winter. The last major update EA did for Command & Conquer 4 was in 2010, the same year the game came out and the same year Starcraft II came out. Both titles are sequels in AAA franchises.

It's not even "3X." Wings of Liberty was $59.99 at launch, Heart of the Swarm is only $39.99. You want to tell me people got their money's worth with C&C 4? True, if you don't play multiplayer, you probably couldn't care less about the software support. I can only assume it's because you're too mentally deficient to compete with others online.

I have never played the same game as long as I have with Starcraft, and I have owned many computer games, Xbox games, and Xbox 360 games over the years. The people complaining must have stopped playing and gave up after realizing they would never be good enough to get out of bronze league.

Hell I've been playing Starcraft since 1998.. Was heavily disappointed with Diablo III but SC2 still keeps me addicted.
