As noted in one of the amazon reviews this is a good set for getting certain rarer pieces: sand green slopes and tan fence spindled both of which are expensive if you buy them individually-just adding the cost of those two parts if you were to buy on bricklink you would pay $20 (assuming 50 cents for the tan spindled fence and 15 cents for the slopes).

I got this set as an Xmas present last year. It is very nice. I wanted it because I am a German teacher and have it displayed in my classroom. The only thing I do not like is the top. That part looks terrible imho!
