Actually that's not true....they are not sole-sourced anywhere. They are manufactured in Europe, Mexico, and some (not many) are made in China.

He'll still be boring and probably lonely to boot. But at least he will be able to buy as many lego models as he wants and he can really take the lAst shred of fun.out of it by hiring someone to follow the instructions and snap it together for him too! Really? I do enjoy playing with them myself...when my 3 year old asks me to play Lego's with him. Spend a lot of time at Legoland too?

Right on! Personally I'd feel like I was wasting my life away if i were still playing with Lego's. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED them as a child. Meh I work with wood, I ride motorcycles, and I play with Legos from time to time. It's all good fun, just depends on what you want to do. Legos are also useful for making mockups since they come in standard units. Just assign one block = 1 foot or whatever you want.

If Legos aren't 'adult' enough for you, then move on. You made an ignorant statement, so own up to it instead of trying to deride those who called you out on it.

Also I don't recall a scenario where Legos ever came in big buckets (though I know you can buy them as such). I've always had to get the sets, and then you build those, get bored of them, tear them down and make something new. If a kid wants to build the Brandenburg Gate, more power to him. He'll likely turn it into a rocket ship in a week or two. That's how Legos work.

Lego have always been sold as pre-designed sets that had instructions. You can build the set and then part out the pieces to build whatever you want.
