People resell the AMD bundles all the time. The value may be less as they are both on the same certificate (it looks that way at least).

The promo code doesn't work if there are bundled games.

For those that know these cards - is the 2Gb really worth the extra money over the 1Gb? They also have a Sapphire 1Gb 7850 with the same bundle for $155 AR & free shipping. I trust Sapphire more as a brand but wonder if I'll kick myself for not spending the extra $15 (assuming no Shoprunner discount).

The 2gb is only useful for higher resolution, multi-monitor setups, and select newer games.

But for $10 more, its a sold choice.

When you guys are looking at these GPU rankings, and reviews, remember that most of them are dated BEFORE 12.11 AMD drivers which gave like an 8% FPS boost on 7970 card, and brought it above the 680 in most cases.

It's powercolor though, as far as I know their reputation isn't as good as Sapphire's.

For those who don't care for the games: This XFX 7850 is $160 AR AC AF(after filler). I chose this headset as a filler. The coupon comes from their friend referral program.

Not sure why you would go with that for practically the same price after rebate, except in the Powercolor deal you get 2 un-released games that you can still sell off if you don't care about games.

The XFX is the superior card to the PowerColor. Sapphire is preferable to both.

PowerColor is the worst brand you can buy, alongside probably Diamond.

That's a strong opinion posing as fact. Sapphire and XFX do the most marketing, but that doesn't make them superior. They make some cards that hold up great, some that don't. There's not much difference across most card vendors, in my opinion.

Most people own several video cards in their life, and they fall in love with some and hate others. But for every card that you hate, there's plenty of other owners who love it, and vice versa.

XFX and Sapphire have more marketing but doesn't make than better. PowerColor generally is more reliable and has good RMA service

They do have a better brand but as you said brands aren't always an indicator of quality. I have also never had any issues with PowerColor. They were kinda bad about 10 years ago but their quality has improved substantially over the last decade.
