If I have a corsair 430W PSU will it work with this card? i can't find the info, it just says recommended 500W PSU

I have a powercolor 5850 OC. Dead silent.. has run without a single issue for years even with me pushing the OC further. They are a well respected brand. However, this will be my last ATI card because despite what people will tell you.. their drivers never seem to work as well as Nvidias.
Too many compatibility issues. Yes most are fixable.. but I would much rather just not have them.

They are resellable, but maybe only as a pair. New customer vouchers apparently do not work when games are included.

It needs 25 amps on the 12 volt rail. Check the power supply. If it does and total system power is less than 430 when the card is under load then it should be OK.

So...can anyone knowledgeable speak to whether the XFX or Powercolor is the better card? I've owned a long string of Nvidia based cards and there appears to be a different set of mfrs for AMD based cards.

Also, if I buy this I'd like to sell the games. How much can I expect to receive?

I no longer have time to play games but I did put together a ~$800 build in preparation for Simcity. The gpu will complete it. Yes, I am out of my mind, it costs $800 to play a $40 game, lol.

I completely disagree that XFX is superior than PowerColor, that is more 'to each their own' and yes XFX is a good reputable manufacture and their warranties are great as well but PowerColor is definitely not the worst brand you could buy.

I'd say, go for a card that you like based on the reviews. The games are un-released yet so they should fetch a good amount because they'll be new, hypothetically, if you sold it at $40 and after fees/shipping we'll say you netted $30 each, then the PC card would have come out to $105. Besides one game though, I'm sure you'll find other useful things to do with an $800 computer and maybe it'll be able to run SimCity 2 in the future very smoothly, so could be $800 to play 2 games

In actuality, there were a couple of other reasons for the upgrade: Windows 8, 3 yr refresh cycle...so I was only half joking...

No problema! I'm right there with you, I'm coming from a 4870 1GB from 2009, so this was my 3+ year upgrade for me, installed it already and I have no problems running BF3 on Ultra.

Currently on a 6850 1gb, how well would this card do with Mediumish Modded Skyrim?
My Skyrim kinda lags which is acceptable atm but would this run it well?

I also have a 4870, but most cards in the price range I'd consider just aren't much of an upgrade when you look at the raw specs, particular memory bandwidth. Many newer cards are rebadges of earlier generations with a few tweaks at that level. I could run everything I wanted when I had a monitor at 1680x1050. Now I have a 1920x1200 monitor and it's a different story in Far Cry 3, etc.
